5 Stars for Fresh Flavor

“My 5 kids Love Goat Milk from Thomas's goats! I was skeptical at first thinking it would have a weird goat taste, but boy was I wrong! There is no weird goat taste, my kids love this milk and beg for it! They rather have goat milk than juice. I feel good that they are drinking a complete food with healthy enzymes and probiotics that have not been destroyed by pasteurization.”

Brittany, Lakewood

“The goat milk from Thomas at Pine Hills Pastures tastes amazing.  I have purchased milk shares from several farms in CO and this milk is of the highest quality.”

Bo, Littleton

“We love our raw goat milk from Thomas at Pine Hills Pastures. The milk is always so fresh and clean and has a delicious flavor. We give the milk to our 1 year-old son and he loves it! He has yet to get sick with anything, and he is growing and thriving. As a personal trainer, I love knowing that the milk we get is fueling our bodies properly for all we need to do, and that I’m also able to give my baby the best of the best. Thank you Thomas!”

FAQs

Have more questions? Email us–we're happy to chat!

Do I need to return my glass bottles/jars and lids?

Yes! Glass bottles and jars, with their lids, must be returned clean and dry each week. There is a $10 fee for unreturned bottles/jars, and a $5 fee if a bottle/jar is returned dirty.

How does ordering & pickup work?

We’ll text/email you each week before we harvest, and you’ll have until that week’s cutoff time (48 hours before your scheduled pickup) to add extras to your order.

You’ll receive another reminder on pickup day with your pickup instructions.

Remember to bring your reusable glass bottles!

How should I handle and store raw milk?

Raw milk is not pasteurized, so it must be handled with care to stay fresh and safe.

Bring a cooler with ice to every pickup. Milk needs to stay cold from the moment you collect it until it's in your refrigerator at home — even a short drive on a warm day is long enough to shorten its shelf life. A cooler with ice packs or loose ice is required for transport from the drop site to your home; an insulated bag on its own isn't enough in Colorado summer heat.

Refrigerate immediately when you get home. We recommend keeping milk at or below 38°F for best quality.Use clean glassware only when pouring or storing the milk.

Note: We take every precaution to keep our milk clean and cold. However, raw milk is unpasteurized and may carry risks for some people.

Can I add on extras?

Yes! Members can add on additional raw milk, kefir, yogurt, and cheese to any order, as available. The shop link will be sent to you after sign-up before weekly order closes.

What is a Herd Share program?

A Herd Share program provides a way for you to get raw milk that would otherwise be illegal in our state.

In the state of Colorado, the only way for you to legally acquire raw milk is if you own the animal the milk comes from. But who’s got time for animal care and twice-daily milking? We do! And we love doing it.

When you join our Herd Share program, you get access to fresh raw goat milk while we do all the work of caring for the animals so you don’t have to.

A Herd Share program model allows families to:

  • Access fresh, raw goat milk from animals they co-own
  • Know exactly how the animals are raised
  • Build a direct relationship with their farmer
  • Support small-scale, transparent agriculture
  • Keep it personal and local
How Does Your Herdshare Work?

When you join Pine Hills Pastures’ Herd Share program, you’ll receive fresh raw goat milk weekly, just like a milk subscription from your own goats.

You’ll pay a one-time Buy-In Fee to purchase your share of the herd.

You’ll pay a monthly Boarding Fee for the day-to-day care of your animals and processing of your dairy products.

You’ll pick up your milk weekly on your scheduled pickup day from our farm or one of our drop locations. Remember to bring your empty and clean bottles from the previous week.

Note: The milk from our farm is provided exclusively to herd share members in accordance with Colorado law.

What am I agreeing to by joining the Herd Share?

In the state of Colorado, a Herd Share Agreement is required in order for us to provide you with raw, unpasteurized milk.

By signing up, you agree to our Herd Share Agreement and our Terms & Conditions, which ensures we remain compliant with state law while making our raw goat milk available to the community.

What is your refund policy?

We value our community and appreciate your commitment to our animals. As part of this unique partnership, we want to clarify our refund policy to keep everyone informed and aligned.

When you join our Herd Share, your investment covers not only the initial share Buy-In Fee and bottle deposit, but also the monthly Boarding Fee which covers the dedicated care and resources for our beloved goats. While the Boarding Fees are non-refundable, we understand that circumstances can change. If you decide to discontinue your Herd Share membership, we’re here to assist you.

We are happy to offer a refund of your bottle fee, which is subject to the return of any unreturned bottles. This policy ensures we can maintain the top-notch care of our herd and continue providing fresh quality products to our members.Thank you being a vital part of our farm family. We’re committed to making your experience rewarding and enjoyable while ensuring the health and happiness of our animals. Should you have any questions or need assistance, our team is always here to help.
